Dr
Peter Martin is an ophthalmic surgeon
with over 25 years of experience. His knowledge
extends from general ophthalmology (including
cataract surgery) to the sub-specialty of oculoplastics
(including orbital and lacrimal disease, eyelid
and facial reconstruction, CO2 laser blepharoplasty
and facial rejuvenation surgery).
Dr Martin is a consultant at The Sydney Eye Hospital
and Head of the Oculoplastic Units at both The
Sydney Eye Hospital and The New Children's Hospital,
Westmead. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian
and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, The
Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Australian
College of Cosmetic Surgery and is a member of
the Australian Medical Association.
Harley
Place Day Surgery is a centre for medical
and surgical eye care and was established in 1997
by Dr Martin. It is fully licensed by the NSW
Health Department and has achieved maximum accreditation
status by SAI Global of ISO 9000. The centre is
recognised by Medicare, the Department of Veterans
Affairs and all Health Insurance Funds.
Dr Martin provides a range of clinical and diagnostic
services, including:
• General ophthalmological examination
• Cataract assessment and management
• Glaucoma assessment (including computerised
perimetry) and management
• Paediatric eye assessment
• Tear duct assessment and management
• Therapeutic and cosmetic consultations
for eyelid, facial and orbital reconstruction.
